World Semicolon Day - It's Personal

Proud of my past. Proud of my scars. Proud of who I am and where I’m going. I have 5 tattoos with deep personal meaning and this is no exception. #projectsemicolon is a symbol of courage and strength. As I continue to help others deal with things I’ve dealt with and overcome in the past it’s important to note that the stigma against mental illness is still very real and volatile. I remember when I started speaking out and sharing my story I was told I’d never find another job again and I wouldn’t be worthy of leading others. It’s time to change the conversation.
